A Fork in the Road (by Uxian)
From WikiWatch
To those who must face difficult decisions a reminder that while only you can know your true path it doesn't mean that you do.
I stand at a fork in a long straight road, One path behind and two before, To the left is a route mapped well and clear, With a treasure that's fine and for sure. To the right is a road I have never known, Narrow with dangers both clear and in guise, Pitfalls await that will end my journey swift, But the end of the path is an emperor's prize. Perhaps I could walk in between the two roads, Until my true fate comes clear in my mind, But this is the place where fools lose their way, 'til there's no path at all they can find. Or do I turn round and forsake either goal, Return home with what I've gained so far, Flee from the road with the difficult choice, And begin searching a new guiding star? I stand at a fork in a long straight road, I step forth then step back and then hold, Am I destined to stand here the rest of all time, All alone in the dark and the cold?
