Anwynne's Biography (by Anwynne)
From WikiWatch
A little about me.
My name is Anwynne the daughter of Selwynne and Willow Listra'Dal, both respected Gossamer Weavers residing in the fair hamlet of Willow Wood on the outskirts of Qeynos. My father comes from a long line of weavers and can trace his ancestry back for many generations. In fact, my father even goes so far as to lay claim to being the direct descendant of the illustrious Spidersqueezer Pedikin himself. Selwynne is an extremely popular Wood Elf in the tavern of an evening when he can be persuaded to relate some of the exploits of Pedikin. He is an excellent storyteller. A sideline of which is his ability to quaff numerous tankards of fine dwarven ale without having to show a single coin from his own purse - no mean feat in Willow Wood on a cold winter's evening.
My mother, a gentle and loving soul, was born in woodland bordering the fair ciy of Kelethin. They met by chance when my father, little more than a youth, was undertaking a "journey" into the wider world, a custom of young Wood Elves in those days. If one didn't venture out into the outside world before settling down it was rare to get the opportunity afterwards- Married Wood Elf females seldom allow their menfolk out of sight for very long. When Selwynne saw the flaxen-haired slender and dainty Willow for the first time his breath was completely taken away (albeit he had just fallen off a log climb and barely missed breaking his nose on a mighty druid ring stone nearby before winding himself badly by landing face down at the feet of the extremely startled young Elf). It was love at first sight and Selwynne wasted no time in setting about courting the fair Willow. He was so ardent in his declarations of undying affection that he quite swept the fair Willow off her feet and after a simple but beautiful wedding, carried her off to settle in Willow Wood. They have lived there happily ever since.
Within a few years I and my twin sister Arwynne, came along, much to my parents delight - it is fondly recalled that my father bought everyone in the tavern an ale that night declaring that is was fortunate indeed to get "two for the price of one". As you know, the birth of twins among the Wood Elf race is a rare occurrence.
No two children were loved more and we spent a very happy childhood learning how to develop and control our considerable powers. Both born with an aptitude for magic, my sister and I are extremely close and it was almost inevitable that we should decide to work together endeavouring to use our magical abilities to confound and befuddle enemies - perhaps better described as deluded souls who have strayed from the path of goodness and gentleness. Endeavouring to prevent them from inflicting harm upon the innocent and striving to add protection to our comrades and weaving spells to enhance the speed of attack of our fellow crusaders against the evil and darkness of lesser beings.
Arwynne can be a trifle precocious at times and is a rather flirtatious minx whilst I am a bit of a scatterbrain and am accident prone in the extreme. It has been said that if there is a twig in my path I will trip over it, if there is a bridge or stepping stones I will fall off and get soaking wet. If there is a chasm I am bound to fall down it. Add to that the fact that I have absolutely no sense of direction whatsoever, you get the picture of a dainty wood elf who is continually getting lost. However I maintain that when I cannot find the door of the bank in Willow Wood it is purely and simply because someone else has moved it. All in all Arwynne and I do very well together, we compliment each other, and because we are identical, we often have great fun confusing our friends as to which one of us is which.
We are so happy to have been able to join such an illustrious family as this and are both extremely delighted at the warm welcome that we have received. We have wanted to belong to you for quite some time - ever since a member of our family, Aimie fell off the straight and narrow and decided to betray to Freeport and become a Necromancer. It was while she was undertaking her betrayal quests outside the gates of North Qeynos that she came across a fair knight of Truewatch who berated her (albeit extremely politely) for her disloyalty. At first his words fell upon deaf ears but, strangely, they must have worked some magic because within a short space of time Aimie found herself returning to Qeynos full of remorse for her actions. She has been a model citizen ever since. However, she has searched in vein for the fair Knight to thank him for his help but without success. I think she secretly pines for him because she has never shown any romantic interest in anyone else. However tales of the polite and everso handsome Knight instilled a longing to join the family of Truewatch.
