Artisan's Directory

From WikiWatch

Jump to: navigation, search

The Artisans Directory is a list of all crafters in Truewatch who have agreed to provide their crafting services to other Watchers at a discount price. Artisans can agree to do so by registering with the House of Artisans, thereby acquiring the status of a Registered Artisan. Registered Artisans provide their crafting services by accepting and performing work orders posted by other Watchers on the Artisans Noticeboard.

For having accepted and performed a certain number of work orders, Registered Artisans are granted different Guild Supplier titles. Established Guild Suppliers have the option of applying to become a Guild Master Artisan for the profession. The Artisans Directory is updated by the Editor of the Directory, currently Grandmaster Zortrium Odustear, on or around the 15th of every other month using the data from the Guild Roster.

The Artisans Directory was last updated on 15th December 2009. The next scheduled update will not occur before 15th March 2010.

Becoming a Guild Supplier

Guild Supplier titles are rewards for accepting and completing work orders at the Artisans Noticeboard. For completing 5 work orders, the title Assistant Guild Supplier and for 15 work orders the title Guild Supplier are awarded. From there on, it takes always twice the number of work orders to advance to the next title. Work orders only count if accepted at the Artisans Noticeboard and only for the accepting artisan. The following titles exist:

  • Assistant Guild Supplier (5 work orders )
  • Guild Supplier (15 work orders)
  • Guild Retailer (30 work orders)
  • Guild Merchant (60 work orders)
  • Guild Merchant Lord (120 work orders)
  • Guild Magnate (240 work orders)

Becoming a Guild Master Artisan

Guild Master Artisans are the leaders of the Watch’s crafting branches on grounds of their outstanding skill and excellent reputation. Depending on how long they hold the position, they are referred to as Masters or Grandmasters. If a Master position is vacant, every Registered Artisan of that profession can apply for it by posting an application in the Hall of Artisans. The following requirements have to be met:

To become a Master:

  • Truewatcher rank (6 months in the guild)
  • Registered Artisan status (signed up as an artisan on the forums, see above)
  • Guild Supplier status (15 completed work orders, see above)¹
  • 70th circle in primary profession (absolute circle requirement)
  • 3rd best by circle in primary profession in guild (relative circle requirement)
  • 1 statement of motivation (personal background and reason for applying)
  • 2 masterpieces (2 mastercrafted items of the highest possible tier)
  • no other Guild Master Artisan in family (no alt who is already a Guild Master Artisan)

¹ = Waiver currently in place for professions with low work demand: Provisioner, Weaponsmith and Woodworker.

To become a Grandmaster:

  • Guild Master Artisan status held for a significant amount of time (at least 18 months of activity)
