Narzoo's Story

Narzoo's Birth
Both of Narzoo’s parents were killed when their village was destroyed by a raiding party. She was only an egg at the time and only survived because her egg had rolled out of the nest. Her brothers and sisters and the eggs of other families were not so lucky. Everything had been destroyed and left to burn.
She was found, shortly after, by two Humans, Joanus and Rose.
They were simple, old foke, but they respected nature and were kind to all. Both of them were healers and had rushed to the village when they had seen smoke coming from above the tree line. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done. They looked around for any survivors, but found none.
As they were looking, they found Narzoo’s egg. They took pity on the egg and, not knowing what else to do, took it with them back to their own village.
They didn’t know if the egg was still alive, but they still cared for it. They kept it warm and sat with the egg and spoke to it. Sometimes they even sang to it.
Several days passed by, but the egg had not responded to anything they had done.
Then one night, the egg moved. Had Joanus not been watching, he would have missed it. He called for his wife and together they watched the birth of Narzoo.
When she hatched, they cared for her as if she was their own daughter. She was named Narzoo shortly after hatching, after the noise she made when she sneezed.
As she grew, she became more curious about her own people and ran away from the human village in search of more Iksar. But alas when she found them, she was shunned away because she had been raised by Humans.
She was found soon after by her adopted parents, sobbing in a ditch.
They both took it on themselves to help their daughter and attempted to learn the Iksar Language, Sebilisian. Although very hard for Humans to pronounce most of the words, they did their best to teach the language to their daughter. She picked the language up fast and wanted to learn more about her kind.
When she was old enough, she left her home in the human village and set off for Freeport. It is her hope to find out more about her people and to find out what had happened to her village.
And so, her story continues…..
When Narzoo met Moekejo
Narzoo had only been on the isle of refuge for a few days not having met another Iksar there. In a way, she felt this was a good thing as all others of her race that she had met in the past had had bad tempers and were, what she considered, evil. Tunare had already chosen to make her a priest and Narzoo was still learning her way to be the best that she could.
Then one day as she sat on a rock on the beach alone, a boat arrived at the Isle and two passengers got off the boat. Mirshann, who was Narzoo's friend on the island, had already gone to sleep after a busy day of defending the island from the goblin menace.
The first passenger off the boat was a tall Dark Elf. She turned her head away from him. It had been her experience that the Dark Elves had been evil as well despite having a Dark Elf friend of her own. The Dark Elf had been laughing and joking with the passenger behind him. They were obviously friends, but the race of the second passenger surprised Narzoo. He was Iksar.
As both of them spoke to the man at the docks, she couldn’t help but overhear the names and professions of both of the passengers. The Dark Elf was called Malkire and he was to become a fighter. The Iksar looked at her and smiled. Her scales must have glowed every shade of red for she had never had another Iksar smile at her. She looked deep into his eyes and something clicked deep within side her. He smiled again and then turned to the man at the docks and said…
"My name is Moekejo and I wish to become a priest."
She was shocked. Another Iksar healer. Never had she seen this before. An Iksar that wanted to help others.
She watched as he ran off with the Dark Elf.
A few days later, she was fighting some goblins with Mirshann, saving some of the captured refugees when she heard a call from a Dark Elf and an Iksar. There was an Orc that needed defeating, but they would need help to accomplish this.
Narzoo and Mirshann looked at each other and ran towards the cave entrance. And there he was. His scales were shining in the sun. He gave her a smile and once again, her scales turned red as she blushed.
They entered the dark cave and defeated the Orc and his goblin minions in an epic battle. He was no match for the 4 of them.
After the fight, Mirshann and Malkire both went their seperate ways and retired to sleep leaving Moekejo and Narzoo alone. They spent that night on the beach watching the waves and the sun go down.
And then he left…she was alone.
Truewatch
Narzoo had been running around the Commonlands finishing various tasks when she thought she would visit the Druid ring for a moment. It was as she was leaving that she spotted the elusive Lightbringer Wisp. She then shouted as loud as she could so that the whole of the Commonlands could hear her that the dreaded Wisp was awake. Not receiving an answer, she took her eyes off the Wisp and carried on her journey around the Commonlands. Then she heard it. A voice on the wind. A Keran voice.
She ran towards the voice until she could hear him clearly. He was asking about the Lightbringer Wisp. He wanted to know where it was. She told him to head towards her voice and that she would show him where it was.
When he arrived to her, he was accompanied by some other adventurers. Among the adventurers were a tiny Halfling Fury and a Barbarian Mystic. She greeted them all then took them to where she had last seen the Wisp. But being elusive in nature, the Lightbringer Wisp was not in the same place as where Narzoo had originally seen it. Telling the others all she knew about the Wisp, they all proceeded to search the area around the druid rings to find the Wisp.
It was during this search that the Kerra took Narzoo aside and spoke to her about the family to which he belonged. The family of Truewatch. They were an honourable family and looked after each other. He had handed her their Tomb of Law so that she could learn more of them. She read it thoroughly and liked the look of it. The Kerra then offered her an invitation to join the family. She didn’t know what to say. She had never been asked anything like this before. She looked at the others standing behind the Kerra. The Halfling smiled at her.
"Yes," she said, "I would love to join your fine family"

Morgotth
There is not much that Narzoo wants said about this part of her history as it is painful for her. As Narzoo travelled Antonica, she found an Erudite who was looking for a family. His eyes were gold and blue. From the moment he had met her, she had felt something.
Slowly, they had both fallen in love and it was whilst they were both standing on the docks of the Enchanted lands that he had proposed to her. She had never been happier.
It was a few days before their wedding that Narzoo found out a horrific truth.
Morgotth had been with another woman. A Dark Elf and a Druid as well.
He had come clean to Narzoo and had told her how he had fallen in love with this Fury.
Morgotth tried to comfort Narzoo, but the pain was too much and so she ran away to the one place where he couldn’t get to her. She fled to east Freeport and hid next to the docks on a pier that came out of the tavern.
Many days later, she had received word that this other woman had left Morgotth and that he wanted Narzoo back, but she sent no reply.
He then disappeared and was never seen again.
Moekejo
It was as Narzoo lay crying one day on the docks of east Freeport, looking out to sea that an Iksar came close to her and sat down. "I often come here to watch the tide." The voice said "Sometimes it is up, sometimes down, but I know that the water is always there."
Narzoo looked up at the Iksar and looked deep in his eyes. She recognised the eyes and simply smiled. He looked back at her and smiled the same way as he did back on the Isle of Refuge.
They then just sat there, not speaking a word to each other, watching the waves and the sun go down.
He did not leave......she was not alone.

The Gift from the Sky
Narzoo had come through the door of her suite in west Freeport after having fought in some fierce battles for the good of Norrath. She had felt very tired and weak and could barely move. Her husband, Moekejo, was already there and took her in his arms. "Are you ok my love?" He asked her.
"Something is wrong….I…."
"Ssshhh," he whispered, "Come lay down."
She looked into his eyes and let him help her into her bed. He pulled up a chair and sat there and watched over her.
After nearly falling asleep himself, he was suddenly brought back to alertness by Narzoo screaming out his name. She was breathing heavily.
"Moekejo" She called.
"Narzoo?"
"MOEKEJO?!?!?!?!?!" She cried out louder.
"My love??"
And then it happened….
"It’s….." She stuttered, "it’s…….an egg"
They then both fell asleep holding each other and the egg.
Narzoo stayed at home for a while to watch over the egg. It was a beautiful egg. It had spirals around it that reminded Narzoo of something she had seen in the sky at night.
The egg finally hatched and there she was….Pige
She looked up at her parents and sneezed. She was beautiful. She had her mother’s eyes and nose and her fathers head spikes.
As she grew, she learnt much from her parents about the druids. She met her mothers adopted family and learnt much about nature from them. But it wasn’t what she wanted to be.
Pige
Pige had grown fast. She had learnt all she could from her parents about nature and had begun her career as a priest. But something wasn't right. She couldn't harness the power of nature.
Pige had been sleeping in her bed when she suddenly woke. Something had been calling her to wake, but she didn't know what.
She looked over at her sleeping parents. She had been told many times about the dangers of Freeport and that she should not go outside alone. She turned away and crept out of the door.
She had found her way to the Temple of War in North Freeport and had entered through it's big doors.
There she was found by a priest and tried to run away from him, but he was faster than her and caught her with ease. She tried to scream, but he held her mouth shut.
"Ssshhh" he wispered in a calming voice, "I'm not going to hurt you."
Pige looked up at the man and nodded her head. The man released his grip on her and let her go. Pige did not scream. She felt a trust towards the man and patiently waited for him to speak again.
The priest had sat with her and told her of the gods of this world. He told of their great power and the many good deeds she could do if she worshiped these gods.
Pige sat in silence the whole time and never said a word until the man had finished talking.
"I have decided." she said, "I want to be a cleric"
Narzoo woke with a start..........
Something was wrong
The Cleric
Narzoo woke to a start.
There was a storm outside.
Narzoo turned to her husband. He too was awake and was watching the storm through the windows above.
“Something is wrong” He said, sensing that his wife was awake.
They looked into each others eyes….and then they felt it…..
“PIGE!”
Looking to the bed of their daughter, they saw nothing but sheets. She was gone.
Fearing the worst, they grabbed their prismatic weapons and ran out into the storm. Soaking wet, they searched all the bars and inns of Freeport.
They called out her name, but received no answers. The rain was thick. They could not see a thing
Cold, tired and wet, they eventually ended up at the Temple of War.
“You are too late” Came a voice from the shadows.
“What have you done with her?” Narzoo screamed as she leapt for the man, her frills fully open, her anger very visible.
“She has already made her choice and her journey has already been started. The gods have great plans for her. There is nothing you or I can do now. Go home and forget about this. The gods have her now.”
“If you don’t return our daughter right now, I will show you what Fury the forest can command” Moekejo boomed, holding his glowing sword to the man’s throat. The sword, sensing a fight, shone with all the colours of the rainbow.
And then, Pige emerged from a magically sealed door at the back of the temple. Limping in pain, her face covered in sweat, she moved into the main hall of the temple. She had been tested by the gods…..and passed. She had been chosen and now bare the mark of a Cleric.
The man simply laughed.
“Well done Pige. It seems the gods like you.”
Dropping the man, Moekejo and Narzoo ran to their daughter. They knew what had happened. They knew what paths lay ahead of her. One of evil and one of good.
There were two choices they were faced with and it was obvious that Pige could not stay with them in Freeport. And they both knew that they could not journey with her.
In the middle of the Temple, the Iksars cried for their daughter……
The Journey
In the middle of the Temple of war, in the city of Freeport, three Iksar lay together. Two of them crying in sadness, the other in pain.
The Tyraith family.
“You have to go on a journey my daughter”
“You have to travel to the city of Qeynos and prove yourself. There you can be taught in the good ways of a Templar. Something we cannot teach you here.”
Moekejo's Sacrifice
He drew his sword. It glowed with all the colours of the rainbow. But it was going to take more that just a magic imbued weapon to take on this foe. He stood close to the wall. One slip up and he knew the beast would get him. He crept quietly to the doorway and peered around. Nothing. The room was still and silent. He made a quick judgement and leapt into the room, sword in the air. He had hoped his enemy would have made herself known as he did, but he was greeted with silence.
It was too quiet. He lowered his buckler and sword.
“RAWR!!” came the cry from the corner of the room. It had completely caught him off guard. There was a struggle and Moekejo fell to the ground. Not wanting to give up, Moekejo and the beast rolled around on the ground in an Epic battle. Neither one of them was going to give in. This was a fight to the end.
And then it happened. Something neither beast nor hero wanted to happen. Something that would summon a wrath upon them more fearsome than ever before imagined.
One of the table legs snapped. It was then that Moekejo realised he was really done for.
“Pige! Moekejo! What have I told you two about fighting in the house?” Narzoo stared at the two and then back at the broken table. She shook her head, secretly holding back a smile.
Despite the broken furniture, no other damage was done. Narzoo enjoyed watching her husband play fight with their daughter. Made the family feel as one.
Narzoo turned away leaving the two staring at each other. She would let them stew for a bit.

Much of this story was lost when I had some problems with my magic box and I shall fill in the missing parts as I find them or remember them
