The Rage Channelled (by Prowess)
From WikiWatch
My travels took me to the Sinking Sands, where I had heard of a Kerran spirit that appeared in the caverns near the Bay of Anuk. Speaking to him it filled me with anger. The Rage controlled by the wishes to do justice filled me. The story of betrayal and killing for the mere profit and gain of material things did more to me then expected. Neemari gave me clues where to find the betrayer and deliver swift justice, though in rage.
As I roamed through Nektulos forrest, chills travelled up my spine and there seemed to be a small charge in the air which made my hair rise. Following my instincts I travelled closer to the source of the magical charge. Arriving at Dire Hollow I went in to seek out the source of my growing, let's say, interest. Upon entering I saw the betrayer, the person who killed someone since he listened too well. He noticed me and called me over. His name was Vettius Or'Kales and he tried to convince me of his unjust ways. Confronting him with the judgement and the rage he attacked me, and I had to slay him. Justice was served... quick and righteous... or not?
A stuttering Apprentice Morwynn started complaining about a rift and spells to keep it closed. She said they were close and they couldn't be stopped, it would spill into our world and it was starting as she spoke. After taking care of the intruders from the tear I was told to close more tears in fabric of space, though she gave me the smallest clues as where these tears would be.
Contemplating and researching I found guidance. My senses were filled with the ebbing Rage and I could feel the tears. I knew where to go... and as such my travels begun, to control that what I started due to my actions. I must do this, I killed as a judge but in anger, not realizing the full picture. I needed to confront my Rage and seek a way to use it and eventually control it. So, the Pillar of Flames is where I needed to go - since there were reports of shadowed men and monsters from a diferent plane of existance appearing.
Arriving at the tear there were other berserkers there, many seem to have the same predicament as me, though not all as nobel or just. Some just went for the gain, being guided by that lust which I fought against. Still our target was the same so we combined our powers to close the tear. After long fights we knew we had to close another tear. The same berserkers who I just joined told me it might be in existance in the Kunzar Jungle near the City of Mist. A friendly druid, who happened to be passing by ported us to the Fens of Natshar and we travelled on. Arriving at the tear we felt confidant this fight would be over as soon as it started. But I got knocked out and I fell into a deep sleep.
Upon waking up I saw all the others were either dead and torn apart by the demons or just plane gone. I decided I needed stronger allies and asked my guild to support. Friends came to help and we slayed all the demons and closed the tear. But still the Rage was building, the sense of terror growing. Back to Dire Hollow, back to the apprentice, back to finding a solution for my Rage. Maples ported me, the nice fury she is, and I rushed into Or'Kales Solitude to find answers.
Though the answers weren't what I wanted. It meant more work, more trouble, but I needed to follow the path I started to travel. Even if it meant asking my guild for more assistance. Where in Tribunals name was I going to find a firewater crystal, a greenmist orb, and "a weapon from another plane"? I was at a loss and travelled back to my home in South Qeynos. Perhaps meditation and guidance from the Tribunal would help me to find answers...
It took me quite some thought and answerseeking to know what to do next. It seemed a certain ratonga inside the Edgewater drains inside Freeport had a firewater crystal for sale. I never trusted the Ratonga's, leave alone those in the sewers of that wretched city, yet I need to go in. In the smelly bowels of a damaged city covered in the darkness of evil rule, I found the smelly Ratonga. He needed some... pressure to give me information. I hoped tog et the crystal, but he demanded me to do work for him before he would sell it to me. This is so wrong. Being ona quest of epic proportions, to fulfill my purpose and duty, i was degraded to becoming a groceryboy. It seemed all to easy though, and i soon realized it was never going to be easy.
He needed me to get a Flame Emerald from some merchant in Jinsk. Luckily I already had my relations inside that community, so this was an easy order to fulfill. But from here on it went further down hill.It turned out that the kedge Gills needed where only found in one place, a place I had never been before. Chardok, as the main stronghold of the Sarnak, was not a place to be take lightly. Many failures and many attempt to get into the stronghold it self, we found the Kedge gills on a Sarnak soldier. Returning with the items to Vasily, he claimed I could buy the Firewater Crystal, as I did - tired of the fights and willing to get out of the damp smelly sewers.
