The Storm (by Uxian)
From WikiWatch
On finding your way when lost within your own heart
For long have I walked alone in sand Wilderness all that I could see The dunes stretched out in all directions No emptier, lonelier place you could be And all I had heard in many long years Were the breeze and the dust around me The relentless beating of arid waves In a hollow and lifeless sea Then one day as dusk was falling Twixt sky's fires and the dunes' dark roll Stood a distant form with eyes so bright They could pierce your very soul She spoke in silent phrases that would Echo all throughout the land and sky And danced her dance with grace and form That spoke to the very Gods on high And as this rite took place I felt The world touched by this subtle hand The stifled air came fresh and cool And life embraced this extinct land Upon the long-dry desert earth The first rains gently fell As the druid's storm filled my barren heart And made a heaven from this hell
